Natasha Red: Working Mom, Life Juggler, Truth Teller
I’m Natasha Red – 37, mother of three beautiful chaos-makers (Emma, 12; Jake, 9; and Lily, 4), wife to Mark (my partner in survival for 14 years), and senior marketing manager at a tech firm that thankfully embraced remote work before I had to beg for it.
My blog “Red Hot Takes” started as therapy during my maternity leave with Lily when I needed somewhere to scream into the void about sleepless nights and my love/hate relationship with breast pumps. Somehow, that digital diary grew into this community where I share:
- Quick weeknight meals that don’t make me feel like a failure (my Instant Pot is basically co-parent #3)
- The reality of working through Zoom calls while a toddler shows her butt to my colleagues
- How I manage to shower at least three times a week (a miracle)
- The marriage struggles that nobody talks about (date nights that end with both of us falling asleep by 9:30)
About me...
I don’t sugar-coat anything. Last week I admitted I served dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets for dinner three nights in a row and let my kids watch two hours of iPad while I finished a presentation. Judge if you want, but I bet half of you did the same.

Who I am...
Some readers think I’m too blunt when I talk about how motherhood isn’t always magical, or when I admit I sometimes hide in the bathroom just to scroll through TikTok in peace. But I believe honesty helps other moms feel less alone in their struggles.
My wins are small but mighty – getting all three kids to school on time with matching shoes, finding five minutes to apply mascara, or actually folding a load of laundry before it needs to be rewashed. Those tiny victories keep me going.
